Work starts on Rowville's new era
The first sod has been turned on a new era of firefighting for the Rowville community, marking the beginning of construction on a new $5.5m fire station. The station is being built on a 6000 m² site at the corner of Wellington Road and Le John Street, Rowville. The milestone was reached as Rowville CFA welcomed 4 career firefighters starting a day shift supporting the brigades 55 operational volunteers. The development is funded by the Victorian Government’s $60.4 million Project 2016, to meet increased demands on volunteer brigades in urban growth corridors.
